Plain-Language Summary
- Community Values: Built on physical safety, mutual trust, and verified identity — exclusively for women.
- Content Standards: Share accurate, respectful, and actionable safety tips. Hate speech, harassment, fake reviews, and sharing others' personal data are strictly forbidden.
- Moderation & Appeals: Reported content is reviewed by human moderators. Violators receive warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans. You have the right to appeal.
- Zero Tolerance: Identity fraud and manipulation of safety scores result in immediate permanent bans.
1. Purpose and Foundational Values
The Alone&Alright community exists to structurally empower female solo travelers and women navigating complex urban environments. Our three foundational pillars are physical safety, mutual trust, and absolute identity integrity. To cultivate an environment where users can share authentic safety intelligence without fear of exploitation, every participant must adhere strictly to these Guidelines.
2. Eligibility and Verified Access
Participation in the community forums, review sections, and tip boards is restricted solely to users who have completed the platform's biometric identity verification protocol. This ensures every individual in the ecosystem is a verified woman, significantly neutralising risks of trolling, catfishing, or malicious intelligence gathering.
3. Encouraged Content
The community's value depends on accurate, actionable, and supportive contributions. We encourage:
- Honest Safety Tips: First-hand, objective accounts of neighbourhood atmospheres, lighting conditions, and transit reliability.
- Respectful Recommendations: Vetted assessments of transit options, taxi operators, or accommodations that cater to female travelers.
- Accurate Location Information: Precise geo-tagged updates about temporary hazards such as unlit pathways, civil unrest, or areas of concern.
4. Strictly Prohibited Content
The following categories are strictly prohibited and will result in content removal and potential account suspension:
Hate Speech & Discrimination
Any content that attacks, threatens, or dehumanises individuals based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or religion.
False Safety Information
Deliberately misleading hazard reports or falsified neighbourhood crime scores intended to manipulate algorithmic routing or steer users toward unsafe areas.
Harassment & Bullying
Targeted attacks, abusive language, or persistent unwanted contact directed at another user.
Doxxing & Privacy Violations
Publishing private, identifying information of another individual without their explicit consent. Sharing third-party personal data (names, addresses, phone numbers) constitutes a severe GDPR violation and exposes the poster to legal liability.
Spam & Commercial Exploitation
Unauthorized commercial advertising, affiliate link farming, or repetitive automated bot posting.
5. Identity Verification and Zero-Tolerance Fraud Policy
- Fraudulent Access: Any attempt to manipulate the biometric check, use forged documents, or bypass gender verification will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
- Score Manipulation: Coordinated campaigns to artificially inflate or deflate safety scores of any location, route, or neighbourhood will result in permanent account termination and potential referral to Dutch law enforcement.
6. Reporting Violations (Article 16 DSA)
In alignment with Article 16 of the Digital Services Act, the platform provides an accessible reporting mechanism:
- Tap the "Report" icon adjacent to any post, review, or profile that appears to violate these Guidelines.
- Select the specific reason and provide additional context to substantiate your report.
- Reports from designated DSA Trusted Flaggers are automatically prioritised for expedited review.
7. Moderation Process and Enforcement
Alone&Alright uses a hybrid system combining automated detection with human-in-the-loop review, as mandated by the DSA.

8. Statement of Reasons and Appeals (DSA Art. 17 & 20)
If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you will receive a Statement of Reasons by email, detailing:
- The exact guideline violated
- The facts relied upon
- Whether automated systems were used
- How to appeal the decision
Appeals
You have 6 months from a moderation action to submit an appeal via the in-app portal or by emailing aloneandalright0@gmail.com. Your appeal will be reviewed by a qualified human moderator who was not involved in the original decision. If the original decision is found to be incorrect or disproportionate, your content or account will be fully restored without undue delay.
9. Dispute Resolution Between Users
Alone&Alright encourages users to use the platform's native blocking and muting features for low-level interpersonal conflicts. The platform does not act as a mediator in private civil disputes between users. However, if a dispute escalates into public harassment, threats, or doxxing, the moderation team will definitively intervene under Section 4 of these Guidelines, prioritising the safety and integrity of the entire community.
